Google Doodle for this new year was delightful with celebratory confetti popping on all over app screen.

Google search app is always there in most smartphones specially in Android ones. As a user we hardly notice it as a separate app though we use it all the time.

There are many occasions where you see special Google Doodle with appropriate illustrative representation.

But

today's Google Doodle was special...since it has Augmented layer of confetti popping all over app screen with popping sound when you tap the Google Doodle it takes you to this New Year information page.

Apart from in app delight. You could share the animated Google Doodle to others as New Year Greetings which was pretty useful to people who don't have time to hunt for an animated greeting GIF elsewhere.
